Let me tell you what I found out.
First, I had never used 5 different patterned papers before on a single layout. I might have used a couple along with Bobunny dot paper to add color but never that many patterns at the same time.
Second, I found that I can scrap pages faster knowing what the end results would be. It gives me greater freedom to add embellishments and play with beautiful results.
Third I was able to go back to some of my personal stash of paper which I was going to sell, and look at it in a whole new way.
So when Kiwi had a design team call I answered. I am so honored that they asked me to be their guest designer in February. I have been busting at the seams with excitement! They asked me to use their Sweetheart Templates which was perfect with Valentines Day around the corner!
I started creating a layout with Basic Grey Kissing Booth collection. I used the awesome Sweetheart Templates as well as Paisley Lane 1 & 2, and scallop boarder from Kiwi Lane Designs. I loved the colors because it wasn't just the typical red you would expect for Valentines Day, and the templates were perfect for what I was looking to achieve. One thing I found out that might be helpful. Don't mix two different brands of Lacquer, they react badly.
On the second
layout I used Authentique’s new Lovely collection and of course the Sweetheart
templates. I incorporated a lot of the stickers from the Lovely collection as well as
using the hearts and arrows from the Sweetheart Templates. I traced the brackets and with a ruler made the
bracket longer for this layout. I am waiting for my son’s Valentine’s Day party
at school to add pictures. At least that's my excuse and I am sticking with it. My New Years resolution is to get pictures on all 60 layouts I have with no pictures.
So here’s my exciting deal. Go on a blog hop, get great ideas. If you leave a comment I will
be giving away one sweetheart templates for you to give Kiwi Lane Designs a try. Be forewarned, once you try them you will be hooked! Also a random winner
will be picked from ONE of

Really cute layouts and an adorable son. I read your profile and LAUGHED OUT LOUD over your comment about a prenuptual to protect the albums. That is crucial, don't you think?
